Go Bills exploded offensively tonight for a 21-9 win against Justice at Crosby Field, 7:10PM start time, in front of a crowd of four. Go Bills was the away team, and it showed as their fans were outnumbered four to zero. But, the team did not let this affect them as Bobby S. delivered a traditional home run in the second at bat of the game to bring home "Jack Bobby" Frasor. Bobby S. exhibited the true Cecil Fielder power on this hit that his teammates were waiting for and finally earned his nickname.
The following two innings were tough on Go Bills as they were only able to muster four baserunners and one run. They also fell behind 9-3 after the second inning as Justice was hitting the gaps relentlessly in the bottom of the 2nd and scored six runs, highlighted by a 3-run shot by the clean-up hitter with a under armour body suit (one sleeve cut off) and white glove.
However, Go Bills did not shy away and came back with their own run in the 4th inning. Nick H. started off the inning and seven runs were scored with only one out being registered. Nick H., Fabs, McGee, Mumbach, Gary, Dennis, and Pat all scored this inning and Go Bills took a 10-9 lead into the bottom of the 4th. This inning was highlighted by McGee's attempt to showcase his blazing speed by trying to take 3rd while Fabs was still occupying the base. His agility was demonstrated as he alluded the 3rd basemen and slid back into second, and registered a record 5 totals bases in the inning in only one at bat. Another worthy note is the hitting prowess of pitcher Mumbach as the other team can not figure out his short choppers down the line as he flies down the first base line to beat out each throw. All 12 batters hit in the inning.
Mumbach and the defense delievered a second straight scoreless inning and the team returned to the dugout prepared to put more runs on the board. The 5th inning was much like the 4th as the offense put up 5 more runs on Justice, including a 2-run bomb from McGee scoring Fabs. Along with McGee and Fabs, Nick H., Mumbach, and Mark L. "Hollywood" scored in the inning.
The team added three runs in both the 6th and 7th innings, with "Jack Bobby" scoring twice, and Nick H., Fabs, Pat and Eric L. scoring once a piece. While the offense was as hot as a pistol tonight, with each player recording a hit, the defense and pitching of Mumbach was impecable. The defense was stout and made all the necessary plays after the second inning, which led to an 18-0 run to end the game. Mumbach pitched a gem, only allowing one walk and one home run, as his defense helped him out when Justice somehow managed to put the ball in play. The outfield, led by "Jack Bobby," Mark L. "Hollywood," Mark B., Eric L., Gary, and Dennis played a near flawless game as only one hit, a bomb by under armour's representative batting clean-up, flew over their heads. Another player who is coming into his own as a hitter is Pat, the ultimate pull hitter, led the team with Nick H. with 13 Total Bases (TB).
Ultimately, the game ball is going to have to go to McGee for a number of reasons. McGee made countless plays tonight at shortstop in the early innings before being a team player and allowing other teammates to try the position. He fell one hit (triple) shy of the cycle, as he finished 3-4 on the day with 12 total bases. Also, his ability to reach 5 bases in one inning is a marvel and he needs to be commended for putting in the effort in the offseason to complete such a feat.
This improves Go Bills record to 3-1.
Complete Player Statistics will begin next week, but for now, here were the total bases and runs scored by each player:
"Jack Bobby" - 12 TB and 3 R
Bobby S. "Cecil" - 9 TB and 1 R

I just want it to be known that my baserunning was all a part of a diabolical mind game with the other team. I figured I'd run over to third to shake Fabs' hand for a successful plate appearance and as a display of "you can't catch me" to the other team. The play threw the opposing catcher and pitcher into such a state of confusion that they were unable to perform for the rest of the game. Mind games boys, mind games.
McGee's mind games make Gitmo look like day care. They guy is ruthless. In the three seconds during that magical time on third, he convinced me the US never landed on the moon and then convinced me that we did. The guy is like John Edwards. I dunno about you guys, but Im bringin my tin foil hat next week to keep him away from my thoughts.
Bob, this is one of the better things you have ever done. I am sure your girlfriend who looks like your mom is very proud...and your mom must be proud too
I do have to say GO BILLS!
